Founded in 1990 by Shane Springer, The Golf Shed is backed with over 18 years of industry experience. In 1999 we received the Distinguished Clubmaker award and have received many awards over the years. This again proving that "Quality is never second" at the Golf Shed. We constantly strive for the highest quality product for our customers we build custom clubs for. We firmly believe we build the best forged clubs to be found anywhere. Take the time to read Golf Review on custom sets we have built with the Tom Wishon forged irons and the feedback on eBay. You will find a lot of clubmakers on the web but you will find very few that document what they have done as custom club builders. There needs to be a verifiable feedback on a clubmakers work. How else will you know how they build custom golf club sets?
We have invested in the best equipment to make sure you get the best golf clubs that can be custom built to fit you. We use the Mitchell Plus Loft/Lie bending machine, the Golf Mechanics frequency analyzer, The Auditor MOI machine, the Golf Mechanics Electronic Spine Analysis, Grip Station and flex sorter machine and a vast array of other equipment that really makes a difference in the way your clubs will work for you. We "Spine Align" and "Frequency Match" the shafts on all the clubs we build. You will not get this at most sets at your local pro shops. We are also members of the GCA (Golf Clubmakers Association) and keep abreast of the latest technology offered in the golfing industry. It is an ever evolving process that needs to be addressed on a regular basis.
Your custom built set gets a minimum of these;
- Electronically spine aligned
- Built to proper shaft flex
- Built to proper grip size
- A word about MOI here. A lot of pro lines talk about high MOI built into their clubs. This is not the same thing as MOI matching. MOI matching allows you to have the same feel in every club in the set from the 3 through the PW. In MOI with the pro lines, you get different weighting in the club head itself and not a MOI match. So, big difference when we talk about MOI matching.
- One thing I notice when I look at other products advertised on the web. They show a low price on the club they are advertising and then you take the club to check out and if you add just the bare essential as we call them, I find in most cases the prices jump as much as $100-$150 on a forged set of Snake Eyes 685X. And that is a lot of money for a product advertised at one price and then you will pay a higher price for it.
- We are a full time clubmakers. Our shop is open 6 days a week from 8 until 5 and on Saturday from 8 til 12. When we advertise a product, it has first quality components in it. I looked at a few who I think are false advertisers. On a set Snake Eyes 685 series forged clubs, (8 pieces) they advertise a price of $349 but if you add in a TT Lite shaft (which is really a mid price shaft) and put Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips on and get the shafts spine aligned, the bottom number you pay for that set is $599 and this is a clubmaker who only does this part time and is not a full time shop. If you need to talk with him, it will be on his terms and his hours and not yours. We are here 6 days a week and available at any time to answer any question you may have. And, you can verify our feedback on eBay or on Golf Review. You need to look at some of these clubmakers who are advertising product and that is about all. I could put 5000 testimonials up but if we cannot verify them, then they are no good. So, how can those advertising on the web prove what they say in their testimonials? Look good before you buy. We have been custom club building for over 20 years and we have feedback and give you more than anyone I know in the way a custom club is suppose to be built. And, MOI is very important to a new set of irons also. And, we have been MOI matching since MOI matching came out. I just want the buyer to get what they pay for. There are literally thousands selling on the web and many of them have purchased high priced search engines so that they can be the first product in the search word you click on. We just have a very basic plan and nothing fancy as we are full time and have to make a living at building custom clubs. If in doubt about a product, call us. We will tell you what we think. I say again. Look good.
- Our primary lines of golf equipment are Tom Wishon , Snake Eyes (secondary). and a new quality line in the Swing Science which will give us the best quality shafts we can pass on to you for less money. And, these are good solid lines we are able to purchase and offer to you in any selection of shafts or grips you may want. We offer this full lines of quality golf clubs that enables us to fit any golfer in every price range and still offer quality equipment. These lines of golf equipment give us a full range of drivers, woods, irons, wedge and putters that we can custom build for all types of golfers. And, custom building is our main focus as you will read from feedback reviews. You can read on Golf Review how our golf clubs are built and what golfers think about them. We also have over 700 positive feedback comments on eBay to attest to our quality golf clubs. I would think it hard to buy and not have any feedback on the clubmaker you are purchasing from. You can check us out on eBay and also Golf Review as to what our feedback is from those who purchase from us.
